Over the Christmas weekend, we were visiting with our friends, Brian and his family in Portland. While there, we all went to the mall for last minute shopping and we ended up at the pet shop where Mike and I fell in love with a Min-Pin puppy — ultimately, we decided that he was probably going to be larger than what we wanted when fully grown.

Brian saw my disappointment.

He drove seperately with other people while Mike and I had his brother-in-law in the car with us and together, they planned out a surprise visit to the Humane Society of Portland where they had 4 Chihuahuas there! (exactly the breed we wanted).

We immediately fell in love with a 4 year-old 8.5 lbs tan male whose been traumatized and/or abused. He’s a scared little thing but he warmed up to us within a half of an hour.

Anyway, long story short, we love the new dog and we can’t wait to bring him all the way home to Seattle to meet Xander today.

I have to tell ya, Terminator 3 was on tv and I wathed it.

Even though I own the movie and I’ve seen it a couple of times before, it’s still fascinating. Seriously, it’s not as good as the former 2, but it’s very fun and full of action. Of course the ending is what sold it for me the first time and it is still powerful.

I don’t know who really owns the Terminator franchise, but man, they have a barn full of cash cow! Think of the fourth movie inching its way towards the box office and Sarah Connor Chronicles just keeping us on the edge of our seat. And they can do anything to the storyline because of the time travel aspect; the sky is the limit.

I’m not sure why I’m compelled to write about Terminator, but I just did.

Hello folks, I am in Seattle right now in a corporate apartment as I type this out. We landed last night with a lot of tense moments leading up to it because along with a beautiful fiance, we had a cat named Xander flying too. I have never traveled with an animal on a plane and my nerves were on edge, but he meowed once only as we were taking off and he was a perfect angel the whole flight… and the flight was pretty long too, like 5 1/2 hours or so?

Anyway, we are here to stay. Seattle is our new home.

Right, and did you catch the fiance part? Yep. I’m engaged to Michael Oeming. I couldn’t ask for a better person to share my life with.

Hey all, I just got back from Spain which btw was awesome… I’ll post some pics and elaborate a little bit more about it later… but wanted to announce that Mike Oeming and I will be attending Baltimore Comic-Con on Sept. 27-28th 2008. This (hopefully) will be the last convention we will be doing until Spring of ‘09.

I don’t speak Spanish. I’ve never been there before but Mike and I are on our way to Spain in a week. Exciting? yes. Scary? yes. Why? because.

I just bought a 8-cell battery for my laptop, loading my ipod/itunes with movies and stretching and breathing to endure the long ride on a giant, heavy, cramped plane with bunch of strangers. yay.

That’s all I have as far as complaining about it. I’m so excited that I’m going to burst.

I will be back to update my site a whole lot after the trip. So stay tuned.

I wanted to update here and let people know that I appreciate all the support I received from everyone regarding the passing of my father. I want to add that this is a long journey and it’s far from over, but I’m on the right path to healing and coping.

I will always miss him and I will always appreciate that he instilled such humor in me; I can laugh about almost anything — and I’ll always remember that as long as I can laugh, life is still good, and I do laugh constantly. Even through the hard times.

I will be returning to YND soon, and until then, please look for my sketch cards from Upperdeck for Heroes, LOTR and Marvel Masterpiece which should all be circulating now. I finished up the 2008 Marvel ones too, so they’re on their way out as well, I think. Mike Oeming and I sold a mini-series to a great publisher so please keep an eye out for the announcement in the near future!

Other than that, life in NJ is great. I’ve found the beauty that is water ice / italian ice and I just got my NJ license plates today — AND passed the inspection so I’m completely and utterly a New Jersean now!!!
